  1. This book was a great book and I think the author put alot of suspense to the book. When I picked the book up I couldn't put it back down. It was especially suspenseful when he had to go into the submarine and he couldn't put the bomb on the ship. It was also very suspenseful when they almost got Nathan while he was putting the bomb on the boat. He didn't get the bomb on the ship but there was a big explosion that scared the redcoats out of their skin.

  3. I must agree with you Ms, I also thought this book was an exquisite combination of excitement, action, and a bit of horror. I know I was certainly anxious when Nathan and his two comrads were almost spotted by the traitor, while they were on the island buildin g the Turtle. I must say this book was one of the best I've ever read, and would reccomend to any history buff.

  4. What I learned was that there was a submarine in
    1776.although I like different history,I really
liked the ups and downs in this story. What
    I didn't like was Ezra's name,because it was hard
to pronounce.I wonder if his he will see the Turtle
again with his cousin .My favorite part was when
the bomb went off and scared the British.

  6. I read Attack of the Turtle. I liked how the bad guys think there always going to win but they loose. But I did not like how the14 year old Nathan had the struggles of a teenager overcoming self-doubt. ALso I learned about the first submarine used in navel warfare. I wonder why they called the weapon "the turtle."

  7. I think Attack of the Turtle is a must read book. I really like that this book contained a diagram of the turtle. There was so much suspense in the book I couldn't take my eyes off it. The character Nathan was very fascinating! I learned alot about the first submarine used in warfare. At first I wasn't into books about war. But, I had a goal to read all 10 nutmegs and I did. Even if your not that into books about war like me read this book. You might even end up having it as your favorite book in the world.I would highly rwecommend this book. I would give it 5 stars.
